Tunes with Scores
As promised, we have returned with some new scores. These scores are presented with the full understanding that the nuances of fiddle music cannot be accurately represented on paper. Consider these scores a reference for the notes of the melody. Individual and regional preferences will vary. We recommend listening to lots of recordings in order to hear different approaches to a tune.

Kennedy Rag
"Kennedy Rag" is (obviously) a ragtime in the key of F. I transcribed this version from a Charles Stripling recording. The timing of the tune is a bit unusual, and would probably be called "crooked" by most fiddlers. Note the 1/4 measure at the end of the first part at bar 11, and another 1/4 measure in the second part at bar 19.

Bee In The Pumpkin Blossom
"Bee In The Pumpkin Blossom" is a tune that we first heard on the Chirps Smith Home Recordings. I don't have any further information on its origin, and would appreciate any pointers. It's quickly becoming a favorite around here. NOTE: the chords on this score were updated August 2017 after O'Banyon set us straight.
